SRP - The Oversley
The Oversely at Dunnington is a Specialist Resource Provision within our school setting; it promotes an alternative way of supporting primary age pupils with SEMH needs. The Oversley is an extension of Dunnington School’s inclusive provision, which offers a nurturing environment offering targeted, specialist support, often with a therapeutic approach, to help pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs to overcome challenges, build positive relationships, and more successfully access the curriculum. Our emphasis is on building trusting relationships with pupils, families, external agencies, and the wider community.
The Oversley at Dunnington incorporates individualised integration, ensuring that pupils’ transition into our school, is a smooth and seamless process. At Dunnington School, we recognise that every child is unique, therefore the timescale for this will depend upon the individual child; we are committed to ensuring that every child feels valued, safe and secure within our environment.
We aim to accommodate a maximum of 8 pupils at The Oversley, all of whom will have an individual Education, Health and Care Plan. Our Specialist Lead Teacher is Mrs Anita Twyman, who is supported by Mrs Wendy Ross, our Specialist SEND Teaching Assistant.
