The distinctiveness and effectiveness of Dunnington as a Church of England school are good

The strong ethos of the ‘Dunnington family’ creates a happy, caring and inclusive community. This shared ethos creates a nurturing environment which results in confident and happy pupils who enjoy coming to school and feel highly valued as individuals. Explicit Christian values are embedded and underpin many aspects school life. They are particularly evident in worship and in the high quality care, guidance and support offered to all pupils.

2007 - 2008

The distinctiveness and effectiveness of Dunnington Primary School as a Church of England school are good.

This is because of the strength of the ‘Dunnington family’ vision that supports the ethos of Christian care and respect for the school and wider communities and is a constant feature of the everyday lives and routines of all members of the school. Pupils’ spiritual development is outstanding because of the range of opportunities and experiences offered to them in and out of school.
