School Closure Home Learning

Hi there Red Class,

I hope you are all well and looking after each other. I have prepared some home learning activities for you to complete this week. Please bear in mind that these are suggested activities and timings only; you may wish to dip in and out of them as you please. I have created a timetable that has the structure of a school day in Red class. There are a range of activities on the timetable which include lots of practical activities that link to maths, phonics, writing and topic. Some of these activities you may need to access on the Maths and Phonics link. Please click the link below to see the timetable with our daily tasks on.

Reading every day is really important! I have sent out 4 reading books for you to have a go at reading at home. Please have a go at reading a few pages each day. Sharing story books is also important in reception as it helps to develop story vocabulary so reading lots of stories together is great too! I have also shared Phase 2 and 3 word cards to practise reading and all the Tricky Trucks stages. Please have a look and see which you may need to practise sight reading. These are located in the reading and phonics files below. There are also links to some educational games on Phonics Play.

During your week, take the time to spend time together and do activities together: exercise, cook, build, draw, watch, play, dance, sing, read and write! You might like to take photographs of the things you do at home so please upload them to tapestry so it can be shared on your learning journal. We also can share what we've been up to via our class page. This would be a great way of being able to see each other.

If you need anything please do not hesitate to ask.

Miss Reuben
