School Closure Home Learning
Week Beginning: Monday 23rd March 2020
Dear Yellow Class,
I hope you are all well and looking after each other at this particular time. Whilst we cannot be together in school, I have prepared some ‘home learning’ tasks for you to complete during your time off. As Miss Templeton stated in her letter, please bear in mind that these are suggested activities and timings only; you may wish to dip in and out of them as you please or you might welcome more of a structure to an extended period away from school.
Reading is really important! Make sure you are reading every day - take turns reading. On our class page I have provided the website link for AR so that you can quiz on the books you are reading. Don’t worry too much about ‘book levels’. We will get back on track with these when we return to school.
I have created an account on Classroom Secrets KIDS –interactive activities where the children can learn online. Please message me via the contact form at the bottom so I can send you your child’s personal log on.
Also, look out for our new subscription to NumBots - from the makers of TTRS. An interative, Angry Birds Style, game that allows children to become fluent in addition and subtraction mental recall. Please see the letter below.
During your week, take the time to spend time together and do activities together: exercise, cook, build, draw, watch, play, dance, sing, read and write! J You might like to take photographs of the things you do at home and send them to me with a small caption. We can share what we've been up to via our class page. This would be a great way of being able to see each other.
Keep in touch and if you need anything do not hesitate to ask.
Don't forget you're a stay at home 'superhero'.
If you need me...
Feel free to get in contact during school hours for any help or questions.
